Common supper
Tables are joined when possible. New arrivals sit where there is room. No seat is permanently assigned.
Orientation evening
New participants are shown a short film, introduced to the daily rhythm, and reminded that uncertainty tends to lessen with repetition.
Metal is heated before it can be joined. People require different temperatures.
